A band of Camarilla including Calimastia, Kurokage, and Simon along with the Sheriff, Barry and a smattering of neonates to raid the Sacramento History Museum, the domain of the Anarch-aligned vampire Neres.
Thalia managed to incapacitate Barry, whose goons had failed to extract him from the premises, leaving him even worse off in a car crash.
Meanwhile, Simon and Kurokage broke into the museum’s lower reaches. Kurokage attacked Neres to distract her while Simon stole three artifacts.
Calimastia and her friend(?), Irene battled with The Jackal and Thalia, in which Calimastia barely managed to incapacitate Thalia. At this point in time, Simon rushed past, put Kaveh in a bubble, and ran into the streets pursued by Kingsnake as well as Calimastia. In the end, Simon managed to fly off thanks to Calimastia interposing herself between him and an incensed Kingsnake. After a hard fought battle, Kaveh managed to down Cali. Then both Kaveh and Kingsnake negotiated with Irene, trading Calimastia and a good word with Neres for a minor boon.
At the same time, Frances arrived on the scene around that time to tend to the wounded. Unseen, Gabriela pulled Barry out of the flaming car and Thalia, though she couldn’t see Gabriela, saw Barry and decided (perhaps against her better judgement) to make a change and choose peace. Frances rushed over to heal the man and, despite The Jackal’s offer to execute the Sheriff, Thalia opted to stake Barry through the heart, locking him in torpor. Gabriela then broke obfuscate to pull two Ventrue goons from the car crash and left after a brief exchange with the Anarchs.
Neres was less than thrilled with the performance of the Anarchs, seeing as several of her artifacts were stolen. Though after some discussion, she considered allowing them another chance to prove themselves worthy of her support. Frances left with Barry in the back of his old Volkswagen to a safe location.
The Jackal and Thalia went to speak briefly, The Jackal expressing something akin to concern regarding a pair of oddly familiar faces in Irene and Calimastia, the relics, and Thalia’s handle on the situation. She assured them the Anarchs would be rectifying the situation soon enough, then they parted ways.
