The Jackal looked into the disappearance of one Dr. Clark1 online, finding the following information:
Anyways, while not much information is present about her disappearance, they do find a LOT of information about Dr. Clark’s controversial research. She’s written a lot of dissertations and papers about the so called human condition that seem to border on violation of the Masquerade. The way she writes and speaks about her patients, between psych jargon, seem to talk about ‘uncontrollable urges’ and ‘how best to control desires for violent behavior’. She has an entire paper on the nature of hunger that feels a little too on the nose. It’s worth noting that most of these papers are very well sequestered on the internet-it’s only with eight successes that Jackal manages to uncover much of this at all. She’s won a lot of grants from Sterner Enterprise and similar corporations, and most disturbingly, Jackal notices some of what Anoush was mad at. She spends a lot of time ‘identifying the neuroses of dissidence’ in a few of her works.
Her work seemed like it would be helpful for someone trying to maintain their humanity, though simply reading her findings might not help in the same way as sitting down with her. They departed for the psychologist’s downtown office.
The locks had been melted, glass broken, a knife found at the scene of the crime. Jackal suspected that Dr. Clark had been taken by the Sabbat.
