Kingsnake stops by The Cathedral of Blessed Sacrament before a hunt, looking to recuperate from the prior nights and meet up with a fellow Anarch.
There, she meets up with Father Frances who is currently in the middle of cleaning the area, but who steps away from his duties to converse with his fellow kindred.
Both discuss the complexities of the new war starting up and also the nature of their existence. Kingsnake is indecisive about whether or not their immortal life and need to feed from humans is a blessing or a curse. Frances says that it does not need to be either, instead a changing to state and therefore morality. Additionally, he remarks that mortals already drink blood, in reference to the common ritual of drinking wine to mimic drinking the blood of Christ. Kingsnake seems to take this well, noting that priests and vampires are more similar than one might think.
After the more existential talks, both then discuss what to do with sheriff Barry Brickhouse, currently being held hostage in the cathedral, to which Frances says he will use him as a bargaining chip in negotiations. Kingsnake additionally asks for any whereabouts of prominent Gangrel besides Javier or Roger, though Frances has no information on such matters.
Kingsnake then goes to leave on a hunt, leaving Frances to tend to the cathedral.
