Gabriela and Simon met at Sacramento State University to discuss the plot to kill one Holly Zantosa1. They managed to sneak into a party at a theater through the side entrance, and confirmed the presence of private security detail. Inside, their mark was on stage. Her voice was enchanting; her presence, enthralling. Clearly she had some form of kindred powers. Simon would later determine, though, that she wasn’t a kindred but instead a Revenant. A sort of selectively-bred ghoul made by some vampires over in Europe.
Thanks to Sim providing a distraction, Gabriela was able to sneak ahead backstage where she was caught despite unseen presence by Holly’s manager, Fred. They shared a familial resemblance. Unrelatedly, Fred had a frankly insane twitter feed. Chaos ensued as the two would-be assassins tried to scramble away without getting into too much trouble, and in the end they made it out without too much issue. Though Gabriela noted a tall woman with a wicked scar, seemingly additional security.
