Kingsnake came to the Sacramento County Administration Building with a good disguise, a useful set of tools, and a solid plan. She sneaked in, bypassed the janitor easily, and slipped into a room with cubicles full of computers. There she slotted a prepared USB stick into one of them with a label on it reading “DO NOT REMOVE.” Lucky as she was, the user credentials were written down on a sticky note nearby.

Once in, she checked all holdings attributed to V&S.

Kingsnake browses the desktop applications. There’s some specialized software for this department that Kingsnake opens up. Lo and behold, after a bit of browsing, Kingsnake would find the following permit details. About a month ago, V&S requested a permit to excavate around the Sutter’s Fort Historical Park. Apparently, the ownership of the park is in some sort of weird, legal limbo. The permit was just approved yesterday1.

Then, just as easily as she came in, she was out.
