Kaveh met with Jensen and he informed him of his night. He didn’t say everything, but showed him the gun he’d found with the odd bullets attached to it1. He explained he’d pilfered it from some Sabbat, the usual stuff.
On the way to meet with Fiora Milliner, they spoke about the other night with Kingsnake2. They spoke of Set and the Setites, and Jensen expressed some significant distrust of Neres. All this was clearly taking a toll on the fledgeling.
Finally, they arrived at Fiora’s house and knocked on the door.
“What do you want? Are you doing door to door sales?”
“Ah no…Mr. Mercutio sent us here, we have a few things to discuss if you wouldn’t mind” he pulls out a coin
Fiora groans for three seconds. “I don’t even want to how, or why, he sent you. Come in.”
She asked why they were there and they asked about her relation to Mercutio.
“In a way. He is like an uncle of sorts, someone who treated me with quite a great deal of respect. Someone who insisted I be given the same opportunities for success and prestige as those in my family with the Giovanni surname.”
kaveh having been curious about this for a while asks “May I ask why you gave up the surname Giovanni? You said it was milliner now yes?”
That question seems to leave Fiora with a bad taste. “I will forgive your ignorance this once.”
“The Giovanni family casts a wide umbrella. Not all Giovannis are called Giovanni. One such family under this umbrella is the Milliner family, of which I belong to. Do you understand?” She asks, with a condescending tone.
“I sincerely apologize Ms.fiora” he seems to panic a little, it’s very clear that he didn’t mean to offend her “I was unaware of the fact… Mr mercutio never told me about this” he says rubbing the back of his neck
“Mercutio did not tell you this because he had the decency and wisdom to treat me as a Giovanni first, a Milliner second.” “For that, I owe him. What I don’t understand is why he sent an old blacksmith and his runt apprentice.”
Finally, they explained that they were sent by Mercutio to get her to visit more often, and to return her to the faith. The former she could do, the latter she was uninterested in. It was provably untrue. She was literally a necromancer, and Mercutio a ghost who would never see heaven or hell because they did not exist.
“The Giovanni is a clan of necromancers. People who speak to, visit, and bring back the dead. The Resurrection of Christ is your big miracle. It’s my Tuesday.”
In the end, they didn’t re-Christianize her, but she would visit her uncle. And that was enough. In exchange, she provided Kaveh a ritual to store blood in objects. They nearly fumbled the dismount in asking Fiora to get them in the room with Ernesto. She wasn’t particularly happy about it, but…
Fiora simply asks Jensen a question. “Are you actually prepared to talk with Ernesto?”
He looks at Kaveh, and then back to Fiora. “Yes.”
“Your funeral.” “Find me at the gala, and I’ll ensure you get a moment of time to speak with him. That’s all I can promise.”

# cashing in at fiora's plotline
kaveh and jensen discuss neres and setites. they are not deceived by her act and hope to find a way to break kingsnake out of her blood bond
they proceed to visit the giovanni fiora, convincing her to rekindle her christian faith, give them a ritual, and help them to get a word with ernesto giovanni at the gala tomorrow
All goes smoothly thanks to Mercutio (fiora's uncle/ ernesto's cousin) sharing the smiths' convictions.
