Calimastia and Simon went to deal with Fiora Milliner’s wraith problem1 in the hopes it could get the Camarilla in Ernesto’s good graces. Fiora informed them that the wraith they would be exorcising was that of Chelsea Smith, a prominent occultist from the 1700s. She also told them that she’d likely be seeking some sort of mortal vessel to escape the house, and that they were not to bargain with her under any circumstances. Fiora also gave the two a pair of fragile-looking stones that would allow them to interact with the wraith while they held them. Finally, she warned them not to touch anything they didn’t have to, not to go into the master bedroom, and to not touch any of the pages in her binder besides the last three.
They immediately began negotiating with the spirit, and true to Fiora’s warning, it wanted a mortal vessel. Short of that, and short of killing Fiora, she asked the slightly more reasonable request for the stones. The Warlocks went back and forth and eventually double crossed the wraith, expunging it from the Skinlands2.
After a job well done, they ventured to Fiora’s binder in the basement, where they found only two rituals instead of the three promised.
One describes the infusion of a weapon with dark, cosmic energy, the other describes the conjuring of a ward to avoid oncoming projectiles.
Simon though, wasn’t fully satisfied. Unable to resist the desire to learn more, he touched something he perhaps shouldn’t have.
Simon, the trade is this. For the next week, any roll made to recall information about necromancy is made at diff 5. You get an occult specialty, “Necromancy” for the week as well. However, you also gain the Deathsight3 flaw for the week.
Afterwards, they had some time to themselves so they simply conversed. About the aftermath of the raid4. Then they reported back to Fiora, didn’t admit to anything untoward, neglected to mention they still had a stone or two, and she informed them about a gala Ernesto would be holding in two weeks time, at Palazzo Giovanni. All kindred were welcome, but her boon (which they were granted) would guarantee them an audience.
