Why Kaveh Joined the Anarchs
Long ago, Kaveh walked the sleepless streets of Sacramento as though already a ghost. He thought about what he’d done, for the Camarilla. No matter how he felt about their actions, he was more than complicit in them. After concluding a protest, Thalia by chance ran into Kaveh. He was surprised she didn’t attack him on sight, as he was Camarilla. She assured him she didn’t believe in killing except in self-defense or the defense of others.
Kaveh was unconvinced by Thalia’s belief that everyone deserves redemption. The Camarilla had killed and tortured so many people with weapons that he’d made. In fact, that night he was contemplating wandering until he saw the sunrise.
“Dying is does nothing, all it does is stop you from ever being able to shed those fears and regrets. A life taken is often a life wasted. Do not waste you life dying, or suffering under the boot of the Camarilla. I will not ask you to join us- that must be your own choice. All I will ask is for you to be better- do better. Show the world and yourself who you truly outside of the systems that have trapped you. I believe you can do this.” She takes his hand in hers and squeezes it. “I believe in you.” ~ Thalia to Kaveh
Then he offered her a choice of two pins, both of an eagle, one with a gavel, one with a hammer. She took the one with the hammer as it represented the ability to create as well as destroy.
Back in the Present
Thalia and Kaveh worked together to rebuild after a night of violence. To this end, they met with Anoush Jindal. He told them of his companion, Sabirah, who’d been lost in the attacks on the art museum. He gave them an address to an Anarch owned restaurant operated by James Hernandez and requested they both soothe the Anarchs’ mortal supporters as well as find anything they could about Sabirah’s whereabouts.
Speaking with James revealed that on New Year’s Eve, Sabirah and some of her friends were at the restaurant. He gave them a few free drinks then out of nowhere the mood soured. They paid quickly and took off. Later a pair of men came in and asked where Sabirah had gone. He didn’t want to tell them, but… then everything was a blur. Likely, they used Dominate on him, then headed toward East Lawn Memorial Park.
There, they found two Ventrue goons, got into a fight, and learned that Luke Grayson attacked and captured Sabirah that night. Reluctantly, the goons informed them that they’d likely be able to find Luke at Serena Bar. He also swore a minor boon to the both of them.
